xxxxxxx: What does "Nox" mean, anyway? xxxxxxxA: In Greek mythology, Nyx was the primordial goddess of the night. "Nox" is the Roman translation. Nox was a dark and shadowy figure but was of exceptional power in mythology. NoxLife Food Company, Nox Rocks, and Nox Blocks take their names from this powerful goddess of night, a reference to the potent extra-dark chocolate that we use in our products. NoxLife Food Company's logo incorporates its own trademarked rendition of the goddess Nox. Q: Shipping is kind of expensive. What can I do about this? A: Shipping costs are a part of the online shopping experience. NoxLife Food Company charges a flat rate of $5.99 for Priority Mail Shipping, which is an incredible value. And the more you buy, the better the value. Unlike most other online stores, we do not charge "handling" costs or try to make a profit on shipping. Why? Because we understand that NoxLife products are an ultra-premium brand, and there is no reason you should pay ultra-premium shipping costs. We want you to buy our healthy food products, and the only way we can do that is to ship them to you in the most economical way possible. Although this sounds like a sales ploy, the only way to lower the cost of shipping per item is to order more products, thereby distributing the shipping costs among more items. Consider buying one to six months-worth of items so you have to pay less shipping per order. Or ask your friends or family if they would like to combine an order with you. Q: What does a cacao nib taste like? A: Many expect a sweet chocolate taste, as a cacao nib is essentially the raw cacao bean. However, the cacao nib is very bitter tasting on its own. Some describe it as tasting like unsweetened cocoa powder, while others say it has a sour-milk aftertaste. But don't fear - when layered with dark chocolate and mixed with the other delicious elements in Nox Rocks, the bitterness is masked, while you still get all the incredible health benefits! Q: Why doesn't NoxLife use more organic ingredients? A: Organic ingredients are much more expensive than non-organics. To produce NoxLife products at a value price, we can only use organic products when their costs are nearly the same as non-organics, which is the case with the raw organic cacao nibs used in Nox Rocks. We will consider more organic ingredients when we can purchase those ingredients and still provide a low price to you. |
